HubPharm Africa is not just a pharmacy. We are building the chronic care infrastructure Africa has never had - combining AI, pharmacist-led care, and reliable supply chains to serve the 300 million Africans living with chronic conditions.
"We believe geography should never be a death sentence. Every African deserves the same standard of care as any patient anywhere in the world."
HubPharm Africa was founded in 2021 by pharmacists who had seen firsthand what happens when patients cannot access their medications - the missed doses, the deteriorating health, the preventable deaths. We built HubPharm to fix that.
Today, we are Africa's leading AI-powered specialty pharmacy and coordinated care platform. From our base in Ikosi Ketu, Lagos, we serve over 10,200 chronic care patients across Nigeria and ship specialty medicines internationally to patients in 31 countries through our Diaspora Care programme.
We are not building an app. We are building infrastructure - the chronic care backbone Africa needs to survive the NCD epidemic that kills 3 out of 5 Africans.
Three commitments that anchor every decision we make, every product we build, every patient we serve.
To prevent premature deaths and improve quality of life for 300 million Africans living with chronic conditions through AI-powered medication access and adherence infrastructure.
A continent where no African dies from a preventable or treatable chronic condition due to lack of access to affordable, genuine medicines and care.
To serve 3 million people monthly through our products and services - making HubPharm the de facto chronic care infrastructure platform for Africa.
Chronic diseases - cancer, diabetes, hypertension, HIV, sickle cell, auto-immune conditions - are the fastest-growing cause of premature death across Africa. The health system is profoundly ill-equipped to serve the patients who need it most.
Patients with cancer or complex diseases routinely visit 10-20 pharmacies before finding their medication - if they find it at all. Specialty medicines are simply unavailable at most pharmacies.
Adherence rates for chronic conditions average below 50% across Africa. Lack of reminders, health literacy gaps, and cost barriers cause life-threatening treatment abandonment.
Up to 42% of medicines in sub-Saharan African markets are substandard or falsified. Patients have no reliable assurance of authenticity or cold-chain integrity.
Africa has no pharmacy-led coordinated care infrastructure that combines reliable medicine sourcing, adherence technology, and personalised clinical support in one integrated platform.
Everything a chronic disease patient needs - from sourcing to reminders to clinical support - built into one integrated, tech-enabled system.
Guaranteed supply through a verified manufacturer and distributor network - ensuring patients always get genuine, in-date medicines for even the rarest conditions.
Our WhatsApp-based AI companion providing adherence monitoring, refill prediction, and medication reminders in 50+ languages across 31 countries - available 24/7, free of charge.
Licensed pharmacists, lifestyle coaches, and partner doctors providing ongoing personalised support - treating the patient, not just the prescription.
Same-day delivery across Lagos, nationwide shipping across Nigeria, and international shipping to the Nigerian diaspora - wherever our patients are, medicines reach them.
An NCD education platform driving health literacy and behavioural change at scale - empowering patients to actively manage their conditions and live fuller lives.
A patient enrolled in HubPharm's coordinated care programme is 42% more adherent to their medication, 92% satisfied with their care, and significantly less likely to be hospitalised for a preventable complication.
Four values, one word, one mission. HOPE is not just what we give our patients - it is how we operate every single day.
We always keep our promises to our patients, partners, and every stakeholder in our ecosystem. No fine print. No half-truths. Just radical transparency.
We continuously listen and learn from our patients. Their feedback shapes every product decision we make - from how we package medicines to how Afiya responds at 2am.
We go the extra mile in providing care. Every prescription is someone's health, someone's life. We never treat it otherwise - and we never clock out when a patient needs us.
We put ourselves in our patients' shoes because we know the fear, the cost, and the frustration of navigating healthcare in Africa. That knowing drives everything we build.
Four years of building. Here is what that looks like in practice.
HubPharm's work directly contributes to three SDGs - advancing good health and wellbeing for all ages, creating decent work and economic growth in Nigeria's health sector, and building the partnerships that strengthen health systems across the continent.
As a Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur (2024) and a member of Pharma West Africa Leaders Club, HubPharm is building with global accountability frameworks embedded from the start - making us a credible partner for international donors, global health organisations, and impact investors.
HubPharm creates value across the entire healthcare ecosystem - not just for patients, but for every stakeholder who touches chronic care in Africa.
Genuine specialty medicines, adherence support, and a care team that knows your name - delivered to your door anywhere in Nigeria or internationally.
