HubPharm Africa started in 2021 with a simple, urgent conviction: too many Nigerians were dying not because cures didn't exist, but because they couldn't reliably access the medicines their doctors prescribed. Counterfeit drugs, broken supply chains, and uncoordinated care were killing patients who should have been living full lives.
We built HubPharm to fix this - not as a transactional pharmacy, but as a chronic care infrastructure company. Every patient who joins our programme receives verified medicines, personalised pharmacist support, Afiya AI check-ins, and a coordinated care plan that keeps them on track month after month.
From our base at 17 Ademola Osinowo Street, Ikosi Ketu, Lagos, we have grown from a small specialty pharmacy to a platform reaching 10,200+ chronic care patients, 15K+ Afiya AI users, and communities in 31 countries. This is the mission in action.

Taking Care to the Community - Free, Accessible, and Human
Beyond our pharmacy, HubPharm runs free health screening and medical outreach programmes that have directly touched thousands of lives in underserved communities across Lagos.
Free Health Screening Programme
HubPharm's inaugural community health screening event brought free blood pressure checks, blood glucose testing, BMI assessments, and pharmacist consultations directly to underserved communities in Lagos. Patients who had never seen a healthcare professional received diagnoses, referrals, and medicine access on the same day.
Ramadan Ulcer Initiative - with Shalina Healthcare
HubPharm partnered with Shalina Healthcare to run a targeted free health initiative during Ramadan 2025, focusing on peptic ulcer disease - a condition significantly worsened by extended fasting. Community members received free screening, education, and medicines to safely fast during Ramadan without compromising their health.
Free Medical Outreach Programme
Building on 2024's success, HubPharm's 2025 Medical Outreach expanded its reach - bringing not just screening but full medical consultations, prescription support, and pharmacy connections to communities in Lagos. Doctors, nurses, and pharmacists volunteered their time alongside HubPharm's core team, delivering over a day of free care to hundreds of residents.
Africa's First AI Health Companion - 15,000 Users and Growing
Afiya is HubPharm's WhatsApp-based AI health assistant - available 24/7 in 50+ languages, providing medication reminders, chronic disease guidance, lifestyle coaching, and mental health support to users across 31 countries. It is free, requires no app download, and escalates to a licensed HubPharm pharmacist when needed.
Afiya's documented 42% adherence improvement makes it one of the most impactful digital health interventions in sub-Saharan Africa today - and a scalable solution that can reach millions more.
