Uses:
- Prevention of Meningococcal Disease: Besxero is used to protect against meningococcal disease caused by serogroup B, which can lead to serious infections like meningitis (inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord) and septicemia (blood poisoning).
- Recommended for Certain Age Groups: It is commonly recommended for adolescents and young adults, particularly those aged 16 to 23 years, who are at increased risk of contracting meningococcal disease. It may also be used in younger children and infants in some cases.
