Fansidar is used in the treatment of uncomplicated acute malaria in patient with cholorquine resistance. Each tablets contains 50mg of Sulfadoxine and 25mg of Pyrimethamine. Fansidar should not be used for infants less than 10weeks. And it is safe for first and second trimester.
